How to Register a New Domain Through Apex

Registering a domain is often the very first step in launching your website. Apex Managed Hosting lets you search for, purchase, and connect a new domain without leaving your dashboard.

Step 1: Search for Your Domain #

1. Go to apexmanagedhosting.com.
2. Find the domain search tool, featured on the homepage or under the Domains menu item.
3. Type in the domain name you’d like (e.g., “mybusiness”) and select which extension(s) you’re interested in.
4. Click Search to check availability.

Step 2: Check Availability and Pricing #

The search results will show whether your desired domain is available, along with pricing:

• .com — $14.99/year
• .net — $16.99/year
• .org — $15.99/year
• .info — $11.99/year

If your first choice is taken, the search tool will suggest similar available alternatives.

Step 3: Complete the Purchase #

1. Once you’ve found an available domain, click Add to Cart or Select.
2. Review your order summary.
3. Proceed to checkout (powered by SureCart) and enter your billing and payment information.
4. Confirm your order.

You’ll receive an email confirmation shortly afterward.

Step 4: Find Your Domain in the Portal #

1. Log into my.apexmanagedhosting.com.
2. Click on the Domains section in the left-hand navigation.
3. Your newly registered domain will be listed here with its registration and renewal dates.

Step 5: Connect It to a Hosting Instance #

1. From the Domains section, click on your new domain.
2. Select Connect to Hosting or Link to Site.
3. Choose the hosting plan or instance you want this domain to point to.
4. Save your changes.

Apex will automatically configure the necessary DNS settings, though propagation can take up to 24–48 hours.
