WHY IT MATTERS

Plugin updates are our job, not yours

Plugins are where WordPress sites get broken into, and keeping them current is the single highest-value maintenance task there is.

91%

of new WordPress vulnerabilities last year were in plugins — not core, not themes.

Patchstack, State of WordPress Security in 2026

$0

is what managed plugin updates add to your bill. On most managed hosts this is a paid add-on, typically $3 to $10 per site per month.

Included on every Apex plan, from $29

A human

checks the site after every update, and rolls it back and fixes it if something breaks.

The part an automated updater cannot do

Which plan?

Start with Launch if…

You have one site, it’s mostly pages rather than a shop, and traffic is steady. 25 GB is a lot of website if you’re not storing video.

Start with Growth if…

You’re publishing regularly, running ads to the site, or using forms and booking tools. The extra workers handle concurrent visitors better.

Start with Store if…

You’re running WooCommerce, memberships, or a booking system. Carts and logged-in users can’t be cached, so they need real processing headroom.

Go to Scale or Scale 200 if…

You have sustained high traffic, a large catalogue, or a media library that keeps growing. Scale 200 exists so you’re not buying add-on storage at $1/GB.

Still not sure? Tell us what you’re running and we’ll tell you which plan fits — including if the answer is the cheapest one.

Questions

What's a PHP worker, in plain terms?
It's how many things your site can do at the same time. One worker handles one request at a time. A brochure site serves most visitors straight from cache and barely touches them. A shop, a membership site or anything with logged-in users can't be cached, so it needs more workers to stay quick when several people are on it at once.
What happens if I go over my traffic?
Nothing. There are no traffic, bandwidth or visit overages on any WordPress plan. If a post takes off, you won't get a bill for it.
Do you really do the plugin updates?
Yes, on every plan, with no add-on fee. We apply them, check the site afterwards, and if something breaks we roll it back and fix it.
Can I move between plans?
Yes, up or down, at any time. The difference is prorated.
Will you migrate my site?
Yes, free, on every plan. We plan the cutover with you so there's no surprise downtime.
What if I need more storage but not a bigger plan?
Additional storage is available at $1/GB per month. If you need more than about 100 GB extra, Apex Scale 200 is cheaper — that's why it exists.
Do I get a staging site?
One free staging site on every plan, including Launch.
What's your uptime guarantee?
99.9%, on infrastructure engineered for 99.999% availability.

Not a WordPress site?

If you are running something else, or you need resources that belong to you alone, there are two ways to go.

Managed Cloud Servers

Dedicated CPU and memory that belongs to you alone, still fully managed. Four sizes, from $89 a month.

Apex Private Cloud

Isolated infrastructure sized to your workload, for compliance requirements and larger estates. Quoted per project.
